At his core, Johnny Manriquez is a skilled corporate and intellectual property attorney who's beyond passionate about helping corporate clients build, protect, and monetize their business and intellectual property (“IP”) assets. As general counsel, Johnny draws on his deep background in advising corporate clients on complex needs, focusing on legal priorities that foster growth and scalability. Johnny exemplifies resourcefulness and ingenuity, and thrives on turning nuts-and-bolts discussions with scientists, engineers, and other creatives into pragmatic IP solutions.

Mr. Manriquez founded AH General Counsel Services to provide immediate, strategic legal coverage that fills the void between a business's need to hire outside counsel services or staff up a company with full-time in-house counsel services. AH General Counsel Services was designed to step in with either niche expertise or broad legal guidance, depending on the client's needs in the moment. Whether you need full-time general counsel services or an expert in-house IP attorney, Johnny can step in without missing a beat. 

Johnny's legal experience reflects his motivations. Throughout his career, he's taken businesses from start-ups to publicly traded companies, and he's helped mature corporations supplement their IP contract needs with temporary or long-term interim general counsel. Additionally, Johnny has actively advised Fortune 500 companies in commercial litigation matters, data privacy, and technology transactions.

Johnny holds a J.D. from California Western School of Law, an MPH in Healthcare Administration from Loma Linda University, and a B.S. from Loma Linda University. He's registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and is admitted to the California State Bar. Johnny is a former three-term San Diego Chapter Chair of the Licensing Executives Society International.  

Outside of his practice, Johnny proudly supports the San Diego Center for Children, which has provided therapeutic, educational, and foster care services for the region's most vulnerable population since 1887. A southern California native, he feels a deep connection to the region's beautiful coastline and culture.
